Donations For Officers Families

Our hearts are broken for the family of Officer Chase Maddox and we cannot imagine how overwhelming the situation is for his wife Alex. As Christians, we are called to help when we see a need and it is amazing to see how the community has responded and rallied around the families of the 3 men involved in Friday’s events.

For the next 3 Sundays, McDonough Christian Church will be accepting donations to give to the families of Officer Chase Maddox and Sheriff’s Deputies Sid Callaway and Michael Corley. From now until Sunday, March 4th please help us to show God’s love these families in any way that you can. We ask that you all pray for the communities of Locust Grove and Henry County, especially for all the employees, families, and friends involved with their law enforcement departments.

Gift cards and donations can be dropped off at the Children’s Welcome Desk, the New Grounds Cafe, or placed in the offering plate during service. If you do place your gift in the offering plate, please be sure to write on the envelope that it is for this LEO Love Offering.

2 Corinthians 1:3-4  “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.”

McDonough Christian Church

Everything we do at McDonough Christian Church has one purpose: to develop devoted followers of Jesus.

Our ministries are designed to REACH out and draw people closer to Christ that they may surrender their lives and enter into relationships where they continually LOVE, IMITATE, and DUPLICATE Him.

We believe this best happens when people experience a relational environment of community, just as Jesus did with His own disciples. Therefore, we desire that everyone who is a part of our church be involved in a community group where they can grow to become a disciple of Christ. Explore us on The City to find a community group and to get involved!
